BACK TO MEIN #27 // WILL TRAMP & GINA BREEZE

Having co-created the infamous Tramp! club night in 2004, Will brought the likes of Justice, Diplo, Chromeo, The Juan Maclean, Modeselektor and Franz Ferdinand to Manchester on a weekly basis for over 5 years before developing a career as a forward-thinking DJ in his own right.

Will has longstanding official residencies at The Warehouse Project, Parklife Festival, Homoelectric and previously, the legendary Bugged Out! He regularly travels around the UK and beyond spinning everything from Detroit Techno, House, Disco, Outsider pop, 80’s Boogie and Hip-Hop.

Will was recognised as DJ of the Year 2012 by the Manchester Evening News and Fact Magazine named him as one of the most underrated DJs in the UK.

A new recent project with Chris Massey under the ‘Dunn & Massey’ moniker has been included on
Paper Recordings Trash The Wax 3 compilation and reached No.1 on the Juno Download Album chart and stayed there for a month.

Gina Breeze is based in Manchester, a city influential in the shaping of modern day electronic music.

Gina is part of an electronic revival taking place on the outskirts of Manchester city centre. Venues like Hidden & The White Hotel provide the perfect stomping ground for hedonists looking for an escape from shiny commercial clubs.

The last few years have seen gigs progress, supporting Hot Since 82 & Hannah Wants on their U.K Tour, and playing internationally. Gina played a basement set for the infamous Lady’s Fag at 11:11, East Village, NYC.

2018 was a big year, playing debut sets at Love International Festival, The Warehouse Project and making her Boiler Room debut.

STUDIO

Now starting to make waves with her own music, Gina is putting the studio hours in, collecting drum machines and synthesisers along the way, honing her craft and shaping her sound.

Gina has releases on labels such as Classic Music Company, Defected, Get Up Recordings (NYC) & Steve Lawler’s Viva Music. With support from The Black Madonna, Gene Farris, Tiga, Jesse Rose, Lauren Flax, Serverino, Hifi Sean, DJ Paulette & Soul Clap.
Gina also works closely with Manchester-based Sprechen Music.

DANCE FLOOR

A sucker for percussion, expect sets that feature a raw heavy beat, sometimes minimal in style, blending house, disco, techno, acid and everything in between. Inspired by the stripped back dance floors or Berlin and NYC.
